Preservation & Resurfacing
Extend the Life of Your Pavement
A Trusted Solution for Pavement Longevity
Slurry Seal
Slurry seal is a cost-effective pavement preservation method applied as a thin layer of fine aggregate, asphalt emulsion, and performance additives to the pavement surface. Our slurry seal crews are highly trained and operate state-of-the-art equipment to deliver consistent, high-quality results. Slurry seal applications help fill minor cracks, stop raveling, improve skid resistance, and enhance the overall appearance of the roadway.

Restore Surface Texture Without Disruption
Micro Surfacing
Micro surfacing is similar to slurry seal but offers enhanced performance benefits. While it utilizes the same aggregate gradations as slurry seal (Type II and Type III), the asphalt emulsion is typically modified with polymers and additional performance additives. Our micro surfacing crews operate with the same high standards and specialized equipment as our slurry seal crews.
Micro surfacing is ideal for high-traffic areas because it sets quickly and can fill potholes and ruts, and can also be applied as a scratch course to restore surface texture. The end result is a durable, weather-resistant, skid-resistant surface installed with minimal disruption to the traveling public.
Surface Treatments That Make Pavement Last
We offer multiple chip seal options and fog seal applications to meet the unique needs of every surface.
Asphalt Chip Seal
Chip seal is a pavement preservation treatment that combines an application of high-quality liquid asphalt with a durable aggregate surface, suitable for both low- and high-volume roadways. Application rates vary depending on pavement condition and other site-specific factors. Our experienced crews have refined chip seal procedures and techniques that are now widely utilized throughout the industry.
We have also developed specialized binder materials modified with tire rubber and polymers. These binders (PMAR, AR, RAB, and RASS) can be used in a variety of conditions and multi-layer systems, as well as in hot mix asphalt applications.
Asphalt Rubber Chip Seal
Asphalt Rubber Chip Seal combines standard chip seal methods with recycled tire rubber and pre-coated aggregate chips. This environmentally conscious option helps reduce landfill waste while providing added flexibility and durability. It’s a great fit for municipalities and agencies seeking sustainable solutions.
PMAR Chip Seal
PMAR Chip Seal is a high-performance treatment designed for severely distressed pavement. It combines polymer-modified asphalt rubber with pre-coated aggregate chips to create a stronger, longer-lasting surface. Ideal for heavy traffic areas, this solution provides excellent crack resistance and added durability where it’s needed most.
Fog Seal
Fog seal is a light application of diluted asphalt emulsion (typically CSS1-H or CQS1-H, 50/50 dilute). This treatment helps rejuvenate and seal the existing pavement surface, addressing minor cracks and slowing oxidation and aging to enhance overall appearance. Fog seal is also commonly applied over new chip seal surfaces for added protection.
